BayPace

About

Built for the half of
the day you lose to
“is it ready yet?”

A working auto shop at dusk — cars up on hoists in lit bays, tools racked, the floor quiet and clean.

The day only ever slips one way. No customer ever calls to say “take your time.” They call to ask the one thing you can’t answer without getting up: is it ready yet?

And every car has a reason. A part’s on back-order, the paint needed another coat, the tech found rust the second it was open. It isn’t anyone’s fault and it isn’t rare — it’s half the board, most weeks.

Telling each of those owners where their car is at lands on the one person already walking the floor to find out — you.

Ten cars, ten trips to the back to ask a tech, one at a time. Head down at the counter while the phone rings again and the next drop-off waits at the door. That is the exact stretch of the day BayPace was built for — and nothing else.

The name

Why we called it BayPace

Every car sits in a bay, and every bay has a pace it’s meant to keep. The whole job is keeping each one moving — and everyone told where it’s at.

BayPace

A board where every car’s moving, a floor you can read at a glance, and an owner who already knows where their car stands — without you making a single call. That’s pace.

How we work

Four things we hold to

01

One board, everyone told

BayPace keeps every car on one board and every customer posted — that is the whole list. No bloated all-in-one that does twenty things badly to look bigger. If it doesn't get a car's status straight and its owner told, it doesn't ship.

02

Only your shop, only their car

It texts your customers about their own car, in your shop's name, and nobody else. A number is never shared or sold, and it never blasts a list. One car moves, one owner hears about it.

03

No app for anyone to learn

For the customer it's a text — they already know how to read one. For you it's a board you glance at, not a system you study. Your techs download nothing; they mark a car moved and get back to work.

04

Never a made-up ETA

Nothing goes to a customer until a car actually moves on the floor. BayPace only ever says what really happened — in paint, waiting on a part, ready — never a guess dressed up to keep someone quiet.

The next “is it
ready?” is coming

Fifteen minutes to put your board in, and the next car that drops keeps its own owner posted — while you keep the bays moving.
