How BayPace handles
your customers
To keep a customer in the loop, BayPace sends a text when their car moves. That means it holds your customers’ numbers, so here is exactly what it does with them. You set every message, it only sends when a car actually moves, and one word ends it for good.

You set what goes out
BayPace only ever sends the messages you approve, in your shop's name and your wording. It doesn't invent things to say, and it never slips in an upsell. If you didn't sign off on it, it doesn't go.
Only when a car actually moves
A customer hears from BayPace when their car really changes stage or is ready for pickup — not a drip campaign, not marketing. No movement, no text. It's an update, not a newsletter.
One word turns it off
Any customer can reply STOP and the texts end for good, right away. They don't call the shop, they don't fill in a form. One word, and BayPace never messages that number again.
Their number stays with your shop
Customer numbers are never shared, never sold, never pooled with anyone else's. They sit with your shop, they're used to keep that customer in the loop, and that is the whole of it.
Where we are on security
Everything is locked. The full review is still under way.
Your customers’ numbers and messages are encrypted, coming and going and while they sit with us. On top of that, we’re part-way through a formal, outside check of how we keep everything safe. We’re not going to put a badge on this page before that is finished and real.
If you want to know exactly where we stand, ask. We’ll tell you what is done, what is still open, and where the gaps are — in plain words, not a runaround.

The questions
an owner asks
before they trust it
The ones that come up the first time BayPace is about to text a customer for you. Here they are, answered straight.

- Will this spam my customers?
- No. A customer only hears from BayPace when their own car changes stage or is ready to pick up. No movement, no text. It isn't a mailing list and it isn't marketing — it's the update they'd have called you for.
- What if a customer doesn't want texts?
- Then they reply STOP and it ends, right away and for good. It's their choice to make, not something the shop has to manage. You'll see they've opted out, and BayPace won't message that number again.
- Do you share or sell the numbers?
- Never. Your customers' numbers stay with your shop. We don't sell them, we don't hand them to anyone, and we don't mix them in with other shops. They exist to keep your customers informed and nothing else.
- Can I change what it says?
- Yes — the wording is yours. You set the messages once, in your shop's voice, and BayPace sends them at the right moment. Nothing goes out that you haven't seen and approved first.
- Who on my team can see all this?
- You and the people you choose. A tech sees the cars they're working; your front desk sees the board and the messages. You decide who can change the wording and who can only read it.
- What happens to our data if we leave?
- You take your board and your customer list with you in a plain file, we shut off access, and we delete what we hold on a set schedule — then tell you when it's gone. Nothing stays behind after you walk away.
