What this covers
This policy explains what BayPace collects when you use our website and our product, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you contact us. Your name, work email, shop name, role and anything you type into the form. We use it to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation. We do not sell it.
When you use the calculator. Nothing. The figures you enter are worked out in your browser and are not sent to us. If you carry a result through to the demo form, that number travels in the link and only reaches us if you submit the form.
When you use the product.The customer names and phone numbers your shop enters so BayPace can text a status update, the cars on your board and where each one is, and the logins and roles for your own team. We do not read anything else on a customer’s phone — not their messages, their contacts, or their location. We only text them, and only when their car actually moves.
Your customers’ phone numbers
To text a status update we process limited information the shop gives us about each customer: their name, their phone number, and which car is theirs. BayPace only messages a customer when their car actually changes stage, and only the wording your shop has approved — never a promotion, never an upsell. Any customer can reply STOP to opt out and stops hearing from us for good. We handle this data only on your shop’s instructions, and we never share or sell anyone’s number.
Who owns your data
You do. Your board, your customer list and your record of which car went out when belong to your shop. We do not sell them, and we do not pool them with other shops.
Retention and deletion
We hold your data for as long as your account is active. When you leave you can export it, we stop sending on your behalf, and we delete on a defined schedule after that.
Sub-processors
We use third parties for hosting, text-message and email delivery, and error monitoring. Each is bound by contract to handle data only as instructed. We will provide the current list on request.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to [email protected] and we will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so here and date it, rather than editing quietly.
